I have to type 1000+ records into a database so I can use the database to write a paper. There's 18 pages of stuff and I'm trying to type a page or two a day but it is not exactly something to look forward to when I wake each morning? How do you get yourself to read stuff you don't want to or prepare for tests/papers when the work is not that challenging?

For me the best way has always been to do it in chunks so it is broken up and use rewards and things I enjoyed afterwards as motivation. Eg, I will finish 50 more records and then go for a walk/watch TV for 1/2 hour/have lunch.

It takes time but it does get done that way

Good luck!!
