Right now, I'm still deciding between a double major (Psychology + Communications) or a major and double minor (Communications Major + Psychology / Professional Writing Minors). I'm leaning more towards the latter because it would only be two extra classes.

My question is - as a transfer student going into my junior year, the only classes I have left to take are the ones for the major and minors. As a part-time student who will be working full time, I'll only be taking three classes per semester. Would it be better to...

A) Take the classes in groups (all Psychology for a couple of semesters, then all Communications, and then all English).

B) Mix and match the classes per semester (one Psychology, one Communications, and one English).

Hi leilaniana and welcome to PC! That's some very ambitious work you're pursuing! In my opinion I would mix and match my classes as to not get too burnt out on one subject then not want to do it anymore.
But that is just my opinion!

Thanks for the welcome and your thoughts! I was wondering if it would be a good way to concentrate on one subject, or if it would just ultimately be a burn out.

I personally would also mix & match.

It also depends on how many of your classes are prerequisites for others. You may not be able to take as many as you want to if you have to take x before you can take a, b, & c.

Oddly enough, I have all but three prerequisites completed. But I'm thinking to go with the mix and match anyway.

I would mix and match just for variety and to see how I might use them all together. For my second degree I wrote all my papers in all my courses about my major subject in some way

I would mix the classes because trying to study all courses on the same basic subject can burn you out on the subject and get your studies confused between classes. I have had professors who think I'm cheating because I'm learning something more advanced in a similar course. It's just easier to mix for me.
