I'm here to ask all my problems regarding studies. So my problem is,I'm in 12th grade now doing science(12th grade is a turning point for every student in India)and my exams are going to start in Feb ending.I haven't started studying yet and the portion is vast.My major problem is I don't feel like studying at all.But I need to get 70+ percentage in my exams to get admission in a good college.Whenever I sit to study,I cant concentrate and I feel like getting up I jqve two elder sisters.I'm currently living in government quarters and my dad has retired,so we are going to leave the house in January ending.I'm not a rich guy so all the responsibilities are on my shoulders. My eldest sister is yet to.marry and the other one is doing masters in pharmacy.I wamt to start studying like10-12 hours a day but i.cant I'm just procrastinating.I know the seriousness of all these things but I just can't get into the mood of studying.I created so many timetables for weekly studies but I fail to follow them.
Any tips on how to concentrate, keep your mind cool and study?
How to concentrate on studies and how to score 70+ % in my exams?
I wnt to be a responsible guy and I want to be successful.
Any tips for meditation.I listen white house's music everyday but no success
Any help will be appreciated
Thank you

Welcome to PC aditya. It sounds like you have good intentions but your schedule sounds too ambitious and is probably dragging you down. Having a study schedule is a good start but intending to study 10-12 hours a day is unreasonable.

Here is what worked for me in college: look at the project you need to work on or the exam you are studying for and then set aside 15 minutes and work on it. See how much of it you finished. At this point you will have some idea of how long it will take you to complete the project or study for a particular exam and you can budget your time in short segments with an end goal in mind and not feel so overwhelmed.

Keep it simple and small initially. You don't have to be perfect ... just good.

The short intervals will help you stay focused. When a thought enters your mind that is not study related say to yourself "Not now, I am studying." If a thought is persistent, write it down on a separate sheet of paper and say to yourself "I will think about this after my study session."

Hey there! I have struggled for the past few years on studying and have issues with procrastination. They key to concentrating and doing well in your studies is self discipline and time management. It could help if you take some time to sit down and plan a daily schedule for yourself.

Set a goal for yourself: eg. study for at least 3-4 hours a day, and give yourself a reward for completing that goal, like give yourself 1 hour after studying to do something you like (go for a walk/watch tv/internet). And to keep yourself from being bored you could alternate between two subjects in a day. Wishing you all the best! You need to find a source of motivation to keep you going.
