I have mentioned in a previous post that I had a D+ in my high-leveled Chemistry class, or maybe I didn't :/
I took the final which I was very confident on today, but it only counts for 20% of the semester, plus there is a binder grading that counts as a quiz I hope. I just hope my 65 bumps to passing grade. I honestly don't know what to do with myself... |

Good luck with this, Lucky_Wishbone: From what you wrote, it sounds as though what's done is done. All you can do now is wait & see what happens. Hope your final grade turns out well. ![]() ![]() |

Well, my teacher put in the grade, and it only bumped my semester average from a 65 to a 69 =___= Gah, IB Science teachers are slower than a turtle. I'm planning to take 11th grade more seriously next semester because of this experience. I feel like I won't be able to get into any good colleges now... or med school x___x

I wouldn't make that assumption. I was a terrible student in high school! (Too busy trying to keep the bullies from murdering me.) I got into college... not a fancy one... but I got in. I flunked out twice!

It's OK. I've seen people do school lots of different ways and come out fine. It's a little important to see if you can figure out what you love to do. Sometimes people pick going to med school because they don't know all of the thousands of other things that are available. So if you love science, maybe this is just a fluke and med school is OK. But if you hate science, then it does no harm to think about what subjects make you really happy to work on.
This advice might not apply to you, I'm trying to keep you from making the same mistake I made. I chose the wrong area to go into for the wrong reasons. I succeeded, but it was hard work and I hated it. I'm finally starting my second career now. I love it. In the big picture, a D+ is not a big deal. Just don't make it a habit. Also, I think it's so much more important to find a college that fits you, then to get into a good college. So don't worry, you're still a good person. You're fine. I teach college. I know. ![]() Last edited by Just keep swimming; Dec 18, 2014 at 11:45 PM. Reason: fixing typos |
