During my high school years, I would go to high school in the morning and then a vocational high school in the afternoon. I was taking a course that taught me office skills and she was the best teacher ever. She was strict, but fair, patient, and she made learning fun.
When I was bulimic, she was one of my homeschooling teachers. I also had my other two teachers as my homeschooling teachers too. Anyone ever have a teacher like that? Share your memories of your favorite teacher(s) here! |

I have had the privilege of attending a small private high school where students have the opportunity to learn from some amazing teachers, all of whom are there because they genuine want to share their knowledge and will do anything to see their students succeed. I really struggled with math. It was so discouraging to never understand the class. There was one teacher (who wasn't my math teacher but another math teacher on the faculty) who took me on as a student on the side. She would stay after school, sometimes for four hours, and privately tutor me. She wasn't paid for it. It was out of her own kindness and generosity. Her belief in me helped me believe in myself. I was skeptical of her generosity but she did it entirely out of her own desire to help me. There are so few people who are good like that.
