No matter how hard I try in the math, I don't understand it. Nothing ever works, I've had many tutors, I've reviewed my homework multiple times. I don't know what to do. I've never had this much trouble and it ruins all my parents' expectations on me. I have been feeling all sorts and this was my last resort.

Thank you

Meet your own expectations and no one else. You might be better at Math than you think.

Maybe you have a learning disability related to math? Ask your school counselor about it?

I was brain dead about math until college. Earned A's and B's. Go figure

Talk to your teacher/prof about it. Show initiative and ask them questions after class or during their office hours. Show them you are trying really hard and come prepared with questions. As them up front "what is your advice on how to get a good mark in this course?". They'll give you a few tips.

If you show your teacher/prof initiative to do better it'll help you out in the long run.

I understand what you are going through. I agree with Fharriage that you may possibly have a learning disability that makes math difficult for you. There is actually a name for this: dyscalculia. A Bing search should yield some helpful information.

Whatever you do, show initiative by asking classmates for help. Don't give up, and don't look at yourself as defective. It may also be that you have not had anyone show you in a way you can understand.

Good luck!

Math has never been my strong point. I struggled with it in high school and in college. It's ok. I've done pretty well for myself, and so can you. I think the advice of continuing to reach out to your teachers and classmates for help is a good one. Don't give up, and make it apparent how hard you are trying. Teachers respect hard work.

Also -- you should look into the math learning disability too. You may find tips on learning techniques that will work better for you.

Talk to your parents and teachers about it. Starting tutoring classes with other kids might help you.
