I completely forgot to do one of my history essays because I keep wallowing in my own self pity, and work is literally just controlling my schedule. I can't keep up with my college work, all of this is too much. Sorry for my rant, I'm just disappointed with myself, I can't fail these classes.

Hey inspaceonmars,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Perhaps this might give you a boost to hear about my experience when I was attending school over the summer. While I was only taking 1 class, I had a lot going on in my personal life where I thought I was going to do really badly in the class I was taking. I was working full-time, and my mother's health was not going well. She was in and out of the hospital over the course of the year, so it was definitely taking an emotional turn on me. She ended up passing away about a week after I had completed the final exam for the class. All I can say is, keep yourself focused on your studies even if you are going through a rough patch. Make time to do your school work, and it sounds like you could benefit from an agenda or set up electronic reminder notifications (e-mail, phone, etc.). It helped that I wrote the due dates for my assignments on my calendar when I was neck deep in full-time school work. Even when I was full-time I was still there for my mother when she had hospital visits. On top of all that, I met a bad dating partner that didn't end up working out. Anyway, basically keep your health in check, and make sure not to forget to make time for yourself outside of your studies! You might need to make some sacrifices but it will will be worth it when all that hard work in your studies pays off in a big way.

I ended up getting an A in that 1 class too...

Good luck.

Hi inspaceonmars. I'm sorry depression is interfering with your work Is there a school counselor you could talk to? I understand it's not easy to talk about these problems, but he is there to help, not to judge.
Also, what about writing a short to-do list for each day, without putting too much work in it, and try doing at least this?
I hope things get better
