so I am really wanting to study for English and minor in Busisness so I can get a firmer grip on my future, for being a freelance writer.
I am also intending on going to art school after that...so that I can pursue my wanting to be a freelance artist as well. so I have plans for my future my main issues are right now I know where I want to go the University of British Columbia. I just don't know how to handle getting the assistance I need as well as how to get a student visa and I am hoping someone-else might know how to go about with things like that. __________________ Dx:OCD, AD/HD-C and ADD kinda both, General Anxiety Disorder, Separation Anxiety Disorder,Abandonment Anxiety, Cycothymic disorder, or mixed bipolar, Border Line Personality Disorder,Histonic Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality disorder, eating disorder ]Rx:Lamotrigine 25mg twice a day for my mood stablizer as well as I am on Escitalopram 10mg 1 daily, Buspirone 3 times daily 10mgs VT Student, CNA student, working HHA for my father I think of you everyday |

Start by conducting research about your chosen university. Also, try to join a community that talks about processing visa for education purposes..

I would start with UBC foreign students program. This will outline pretty much everything you will need to know. Then look up Visa requirements on the Canadian government websites.
One thing you will need to know is that as a foreign student, you will be paying a ridiculously inflated tuition (ball park 3X the regular tuition) at any Canadian university. I just checked the website for UBC . While the example is for a post graduate degree, this pretty much says it all: "Tuition fees and student fees are set by the University.... and are subject to change. For September 2019, tuition for a Master's degree program is expected to be approximately $4,995.79 per year for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and $23,460.00 per year for international students." |

Do you have any way of paying for university now? College is expensive. Maybe it makes sense to wait until you have your priorities straight and then get a degree later. I know it's not the most typical advice to wait to go to college, but maybe that's what you should do. What do you think?

I would read the school's pages for international students and financial aid:
International Student Guide | Student Services Finances | Student Services Make a list of what you learn (what you'll need/what order you'll need it, ideas to research further). __________________ "Never give a sword to a man who can't dance." ~Confucius |

try & start at a jr college near you. get some of the basic classes out of the way. it will be cheaper plus maybe you could live at home for that ...transfer credits might help cut down on the time away as well. basic college courses are basic college courses...why pay huge fees to take them in Canada if they can be had near your house.

I know the OP posted a while back but you should focus on getting admitted to the university first. The visa can be taken care of later - the school's international office should help you out if you're admitted. Go to your department's website and check out the application requirements. Focus on meeting them and applying. If you have a letter of acceptance (admission) from the university, you should easily get Canadian visa.
