So... I've done a 4 page (single spaced) paper for my class.

My problem?? I can't edit for the life of me, and I know my editing skills fail.

Does anyone else experience that? How do you overcome it? I'm trying to find interested parties to read my essay... but I'm not sure if anyone will have the time, since it's coming up to final exams!!

There is probably some kind of writing unit at your uni that can help you learn to edit. While it might be too late for this assignment it is an important skill to learn for future ones
Thanks for this!

I just wanted to let you know that at both of the colleges I've been to (I transferred), they both have had writing centers. You bring in your paper, they read it, and then they help you edit it. You can also get help with brain storming and making sure you're staying on topic, developing a thesis sentence, the like. I've never gone, but I had a friend that used it for every paper she wrote. Youre professor should know about it, and if he/she doesn't, they might have a number in your student handbook or if you just find the Literature/English department, they'll certianly know where it is.

Best of luck!

Thanks everyone!! I got it edited and submitted. My prof better like it. OR ELSE!! I had two lovely volunteers from here edit it for me, yay.

I keep forgetting about the Writing Tutorial Centre on campus... my bad. Good idea and reminder though, lol. After 5 years here, you'd think I'd know better... nope!
