It is inevitable that we at some points in our lifes encounter trouble. Trouble and difficulties are never, at least very rarely planned. Therefore it is almost a given that they will throw us off in our daily routine and the way we stay strong. That's why it's so important that our parents are there for us during childhood (and after). This is unfortunantly not true for all but for those lucky ones with their parents, they have someone to guide them through life's first rocky roads. As young adults we will have to learn to deal with these ourselfes. Almost. For most people will probably realise in this time, how important it is to connect and maintain the connection with others. But in this time we are especially vulnerable.
For me it came sudden and as a long term crash. I'd always been seen as happy-go-lucky and with inner strenght. But suddenly it felt as if I were in a roller coaster of emotions and thoughts, the only thing different was that the roller coaster never went up, only down. And I though that the hill it was rolling down from was never ending. And the only way to stop it was to jump out and hopefully I wouldn't be alive anymore. But the hill always have an end. For me the ride slowed down when I starting telling myself that after every moment comes a new moment and not two moments are the same.
Soon after this, I found myself at the end of the hill with nothing to do but to climb up the hill again. A rocky climb with 2 steps forwards, 1 step back. But as you reach the top of the hill, you'll find yourself stronger and wiser than before. With newfound courage and strenght to climb life's next big mountain. But most importantly, courage and strenght to enjoy life's little joys and sorrows in the moment. And when the moment weakens you tell yourself that a new moment is just a moment away.
And remember never to forget yourself. That's your biggest protection.

Thanks for letting me post it

Yes, indeed it can be. Very. But I find that what takes the most hard work is also what's worth it and the most rewarding.
