Happy New Year to everyone.

On this reflective day of the new year, I just happened to be more reflective about the past year of 2014. Perhaps, there have been a lot of events that happened in my life that brought down my mood. But for now, i am trying to keep myself positive and cheer up for the future.

To keep it brief, this was some events that happened last year in 2014:
"Retrenched" from job
Personal mental health crisis due to bad family problems

For now, i have since found a new job, but am still struggling to get by the days. Since, we are approaching the start of the new year, i've just decided that i should let go of the painful past and try to look forward to the future. And again, life is short. Whatever pain that has occurred, i feel that it is more important to focus on the positives and move on with life. Just need some time to build up on my emotional strength for now.

Wishing myself the best of luck and also, wishing everyone a good year ahead =)

Thanks for this AmyCake. The new year is a good time to take an inventory of the past year and look forward with hope toward the new one. Having some goals in mind, like letting go of the painful past, is a healthy thing to do, especially if you know you have done whatever personal 'work' you need to do on it.

2014 wasn't an exceptional year for me, either, so I am also ready to move on.

Best wishes this year, AmyCake.

2014 was the worst year I've had in a while. My depression finally lifted in September after a 15 day hospital stay and if there is one thing I want to do in 2015 it would be to have more fun. I have made a plan to do more photography and to do more fun things while the good mood lasts because I know how fleeting it can be.
