I have enjoyed good health for most of my 75 years but starting in late March and for most of April I have been slowed down by treatment for prostate cancer. This consisted of both radiation and hormonal treatment. One of my reactions was to get very sleepy when I tried to work several hours on the computer. Most of my life I didn't like to take a nap...what a change. If I got active in the yard or doing something with my hands, I luckily felt pretty good.

DrClay, I am glad that you have had good health for most of your life, and that you have been able to be active. Cancer is a pretty scary word for even the best of us though, and I am sorry that you have that to deal with now. I wish you all the best with your treatment. Please do keep us updated. Are you using any self-help methods to deal with cancer and your treatment?

Thanks for all that you contribute to this community. There is a time to give and a time to receive, and I am sure that all of us would be glad to have the opportunity to offer you some support too.

TC,
Rap

It makes me feel good when reading the posts wishing me to get better. Yes, Rap, cancer is a scary word and a lot of people have an experience with it.

Good question but no, I am not making use of self-help except trying to make sure I don't awfulize my health problems and ,thereby, start to feel more anxious or scared.

WantstoFly: it is always nice to hear that someone was helped by something I have written. That has been my main purpose for the last 35 years. It continues to impress me that it is so hard to give good information away.

Thanks to you all, Sincerely,

drclay

Thanks to all of you who have wished me well. I am feeling well. The cancer is not gone, probably just resting for another attack. In the mean time, we can help each other.

Cordially yours,

drclay
