This is a difficult one for me. But - i just did 35 minutes of exercise (swimming) - i quit as soon as i "felt" it, even tho 35 is a very odd number!!! I told myself, i can go fo a walk later if a want too. Come to think of it, i have another swimsuit - i could go for another swim! Immediate payoffs were - i wasnt wobbly and completely out of breath walking up the ramp to return home and 2. Tmi - i didnt have to rush to the bathroom like after ive been in the pool for an hour or more! My t says i never learned to regulate myself. Old dog, meet new tricks!

Think i overdid my swim today. 55 minutes. But the sun was shining, the water was warm - i just couldnt leave! These fall days in the pool are the reason i live here. it will be closing for the winter probably in the next few days.
I probably wont have the same problem with an aerobics tape ![]() |

Thanks for this thread. I think this is a tough task for so many people. I know I was brought up to "finish the task" without listening to my body or thinking about whether what I was doing was sapping my emotional energy.

HA ha I live in Michigan as well. As I was reading your post about swimming Unaluna I could almost sense the contrast between the warm water and the cool refreshing fall air.
I so need to change my exercise habits and get out some more. Cheers |

I finally got back into yoga and took a restorative class this morning. It's great for learning to underdo things in a good way. I think the only way to overdo it might be to fall asleep.
