Right now my life is at rock bottom . I am gonna be 26 in exactly a week. I have no education, no license, and job. I have friends but the one person I want doesn't share the same feelings. I absolutely hate where I live. Right now I'm making plans of going to Wisconsin to stay with a friend there for a while to have a change of surroundings and start getting my life in order. I don't see this as running from my problems because my problems go with me in my mind. I can change my surroundings without a problem but changing my personal problems is something that isn't as easy but I am striving towards that.

Hello imstarlord89: I hope that your change of surroundings will result in your being able to see your life from a new perspective. I don't know anything about Virginia. But hopefully you may find some opportunities in Wisconsin that are not available to you where you are now. Under any circumstances, sometimes just getting away for a while can be a good thing. Congratulations on striving to improve your life circumstances... good luck!

imstarlord89, yes i understand, a change of scenery due to history. I got it. Good idea, a nice clean break and start for the new year. Then you can get some job experience under your belt, do up a resume. Maybe find someone who will hire you and train you in the trades. And then get certified. That is something you can always take to the bank and cash in on. Smart move to me. I wish you happiness and success. tc

Why don't you just go get all 3?

Even if you don't have a vehicle a licence is easy enough to get it. Is there a specific reason you don't have one? Finances are not a valid excuse as you've had a decade to save for the cost of a licence which is what? A couple hundred dollars...

An education is by no means easy to get, but why not take something basic? A general year. SOMETHING to make you proud of yourself? Not all of us can be doctors and engineers. There's nothing wrong with obtaining a certificate here and there.

Many people don't have a job. Heck, I've only been working for 3 months and I was unemployed for almost a year so I completely understand how worthless that can you make you feel. I ended up "settling" for a bottom feeder, entry level position. Have you considered this for yourself?

All that being said, enjoy the new scenery! I've picked up and left more than once and I've always had the best time when it was all said and done. Sometimes, you just need that breath of fresh air!

Best wishes to you,

X0
