I know that I have emotional damage from when I was young when it comes to friendships with other women. How do I deal with that? How can I heal the past?

Maybe a good way to do that is to comfort and show compassion for that inner child like it is your own child. Too often we criticize ourself for behavior that results from damage from the past. When we were young, we found ways to cope that carried over to adulthood and it doesn't help to feel shame about that. I feel we need to give the support and understanding to ourselves today that we didn't get back then.
