Just read an interesting article that says self-control is a muscle and if you do anything requiring self control, it helps everything.

OOOhhhh, I sooo need help with this!! I'm always overspending, overeating, socializing instead of organizing or getting things done, the list goes on and on....the article says self regulation involves control over feelings, thoughts, and actions.....for me it is primarily FEELINGS....then my strong, strong feelings & urges LEAD to actions.....going and buying more clothes, going out to eat instead of a home cooked meal, and as far as thoughts they tend to have guilt over the actions which come from feelings & urges.......whew!!

drclay's book, chapter 4 addresses self control, learned industriousness and such. Yes, forming good habits can give results that help it be easier to keep those habits, just like strengthening a muscle to do better work as a muscle.
http://psychologicalselfhelp.org/Chapter4/chap4_44.html Be sure to read drclay's book about this subject! ![]()
