Has anyone worked through this book? This is one that I've picked up recently. The title sounds like one of those hyped up self-help books, but it has a really good footing in solid psychology, it's written by an experienced social worker. When he says "in 10 Days" he says that it isn't necessarily ten consecutive days, it's all in how much time you're able to devote to it. Oh and he doesn't mean you'll reach perfect discipline in 10 days, it means that you'll make significant progress by learning some important tools.

I'm up to the first exercise, about facing fear of failure, he wants the reader to think back to failures, particularly from childhood and I'm having a hard time figuring out what kinds of failures. I don't know that I have many tangible memories of them. Honestly, I avoided doing a lot of things that I didn't think I wanted to do.

This first exercise is about 60 pages in, there have been many , many useful nuggets of wisdom and insights up until this point, so I definitely recommend checking it out. It's all about being more proactive with achieving things in life that you'd like to, but find yourself procrastinating, etc.

Thanks for this!

That looks like a good one, I'm going to check it out! Thank you for posting it.

I just read a book called 'Executive Toughness' which has some great exercises. It sounds business-y but is more general purpose than the title suggests. The author is a sports psychologist.
