Does anyone take medication that causes them to wake up in the middle of the night hungry? How do you deal with it? If you decide to eat do you brush your teeth right after? If so how did you establish that habit?

I am on Zyprexa, so, yes. Here is what I do:
- once a week I cook steel cut oats and/or millet. I fill 6 oz Mason Jars half-way full with the hot cereal. Then I sprinkle on flax seeds and chia seeds. Then I put slivered almond and one half of a walnut. Then put raspberries. Then I pour a little milk until it is level with the rim. Then I close the Mason Jars and refrigerate. If I am hungry, I open one jar, microwave for 60-90 sec, stir and eat. It is an extremely healthy and satisfying meal. I do not brush my teeth. I brush my teeth in the morning, followed by Waterpik flossing, and at bedtime, followed by a rinse. Twice a day is enough. __________________ Bipolar I w/Psychotic features Zyprexa Zydis 5 mg Gabapentin 1200 mg Melatonin 10 mg Levoxyl 75 mcg (because I took Lithium in the past) past medications: Depakote, Lamictal, Lithium, Seroquel, Trazodone, Risperdal, Cogentin, Remerol, Prozac, Amitriptyline, Ambien, Lorazepam, Klonopin, Saphris, Trileptal, Clozapine and Clozapine+Wellbutrin, Topamax |
