The only goals I really have are lofty goals. Like buying a house with cash. Mainly because I'll never be able to manage payments for years. Being famous is another I'm sure i missed the boat on that one. And I'm getting depressed because I'm goal oriented and losing hope on achieving these lofty goals. I have bought a car with cash currently making a payment though.
It's depressing. __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |

It’s only depressing because your goals are somewhat unrealistic. If you have reasonable goals, you’d be able to achieve it and it wouldn’t make you depressed. No one buys houses paying cash up front because no one can save the kind of money (sure some people got inheritance or maybe some make a ton but those are very few, most people work for their money and people’s income won’t allow paying cash up front). How did you buy car with cash? I sure can’t do that. Very few people are famous. Most of us aren’t.
Honestly I don’t think it’s as much goal oriented as it is living in a fantasy. Goal oriented would be set up realistic goals one at a time and try to achieve them one at a time. What you described isn’t attainable |

I disagree. I'm a songwriter, get a hit song money to pay cash for a house. Get a hit song become famous like David Ghetta. It's all possible but challenging.

Are you saying you can become famous and write a hit song and buy a house or you are saying you actually have all that already? I am am an artist. I exhibit and compete locally and regionally. But I’d never sell my art for the price of the house or become famous (beyond local art scene). Not realistic.
If you think you are that good at song writing that you could become rich and famous then go for it. If it’s possible then there is no reason to be depressed about it. |
