Who here has heard of him? I, personally, have never attended any of his seminars; but I own three of his books. I recently began reading Giant Steps and completing the lessons. I have found it interesting and stimulating.

His style of writing appeals to me and I am inspired by him. It's like he knows exactly what to tell the reader. And it's based on real science. That is, the science of personal achievement.

I have only completed the first two lessons, so far. There are 365 daily lessons in total. The first lesson is simply to "dream" and think about what one really wants for one's life. Personally, I would like to have good health and be physically fit.

The second lesson, or passage, emphasizes that it is not one's conditions that determine one's destiny, but one's decisions.

@185329 I heard of him and he seems like a professional motivational speaker.

I like mindfulness because it has something I can do to get to know myself better and how to keep my emotions in check. Whatever works for you is great.

@CANDC

Hey, thanks for your reply. I like mindfulness, too.

Robbins does include motivation in his speeches and seminars, but he is more of a life coach. He’s on YouTube. There’s a great TED talk of him speaking called, “Why we do what we do”.

IMO the Psychology he teaches has been whole heartedly and definitely discredited. The original researchers had withdrawn their claims before Robbins decided to popularise them as his coaching methodology. If works for you, I am happy about
