second brushing today

skipped yesterday

running into an issue with finding time for the 2nd brushing now that I am committed to drinking 1 gallon of liquids per day and especially since I now drink highly acidic liquids (water with lemon juice and apple cider vinegar) that can destroy my enamel if I brush immediately afterwards. For brushing, I need to find time which is at least 30 mins after last intake of liquids and 30 minutes before the next. It is non-trivial.

That definitely sounds like a challenge to find an opportunity to brush between drinks, This is just a thought, but would brushing right before you go to bed work? That would at least solve the second half of the problem. Good luck with it.

Flossed yesterday, didn't the day before.

2nd brushing today. Set a timer for 30 minutes. When it rings, I will drink about 3.5 cups of that highly acidic solution.

Not weird. I sometimes eat close to bed time too.

I have read about the benefits of string flossing and water flossing on the website of Boka. With the caveat that it was marketing copy, because Boka sells both a waterflosser and string floss, there appear to be distinct benefits to both methods, so ideally one would utilize both. it is easier said than done, of course.

Had a telehealth session with a registered dietitian and am very relieved: she explained that 1 gallon of liquid is excessive and about 2 liters would suffice, as long as I do not have concentrated urine and I don't.

Now I will be able to work in 2nd brushing on most days.

Speaking of string flossing, i sometimes use tape type glide floss, but my preference is for thin string, like on the picks, but un/windable. My hygienist kinda disapproved because she didnt want me scraping stuff off my teeth. How is that a bad thing??? Buypoh dot com 420 is my brand.

I prefer tape but I fail to see how scraping stuff off is a bad thing.

That's great that you don't have to drink quite as much water.

I also prefer the tape type floss.

Flossed yesterday.

Yep, like they say in 12 step meetings, "progress not perfection."
