Well - it's been a total bust for me, until yesterday when I finally managed to brush and floss. My gums were really irritated. Now to keep it going.

I recommend Amazon.com link for Spry xylitol mints. They won't protect the gums, but they will protect teeth from caries. They are pleasant and tasty and you can build a habit of taking them by simply placing a jar next to your computer. This way you will know you are doing something good for your teeth and that something, unlike flossing and brushing, is painless.

This particular link is for mints that dissolve in the mouth, but there is also xylitol gum. For instance, Epic Dental sells high Xylitol content gum, both on its website and on Amazon. I used to chew it but later discovered mints and now prefer them.

Brushed and flossed again yesterday. In good news my gums seem to be less irritated by the flossing.

Thanks Tart Cherry Jam.
Managed to floss yesterday. I don't want to jinx myself by setting too high a goal, but I'm kind of thinking that I'd like to commit to, and see if I can hit, at least brushing and flossing 5 days / week for the month of June. |

That is the correct sequence. Floss first, brush later, nothing in the mouth for at least 30 minutes after brushing, do not rinse your mouth after brushing.
I also scrape my tongue between flossing and brushing. Here is my tongue scraper: https://www.amazon.com/Scraper-Treat.../dp/B01LAY47D0 I have several and I toss them into the dishwasher after each use. This speeds up the whole process. |

I had problems with this too, until I started doing all my teeth care in the shower. That was a game changer for me, because I like any excuse to stay in the shower a little longer.
