i only floss as needed but when i do i try not to pull it out as to me that pulls on the tooth root. instead i slide the floss out. btw one of the best things i ever did was to buy an end-tuft toothbrush. it has a small head and can get in the nooks and crannies. good luck with your mission!

An electric water flosser (see Amazon) really helps me. I put mouthwash in it.
