When I talk in front of groups I should be more positive and uplifting but my inner critic takes hold and I talk negatively about myself even if I'm feeling good about myself at the time. It's strange. It happens a lot. Is it low self-esteem I have to work on?
Thx in advance if anyone has any idea if this is what the problem might be.

@walkingthecow I hear you. The inner critic is always negative. Developing self compassion is a way to counter the constant onslaught of the inner critic.

The quick 2 minute version of self compassion is this Tools for Practicing Self Compassion - YouTube

Kristin Neff is a professional that is an advocate for self compassion. This is a long talk by her Psychology Professor Reveals How To Silence Your Inner Critic | Dr Kristin Neff | FBLM podcast - YouTube you may find it better to click on the gear below the video and change speed from Normal to .75 to slow her down she is talking fast.
