But I have to say, I've been going to bed around 11pm and waking up at 7am. I also looked into an ENT, maybe they can help with all the congestion. I also tightened the face mask, so it hasn't been slipping either.
Great to hear that you are doing better and better despite your ex being intent on "hitting the bottom".

Well last night I took the two ambien as planed so I could sleep well for my eye appointment. Ooo it was sooooo pleasant to sleep instead of toss and turn. Had a great dream, spent some time this morning reflecting on it but didn’t write it down and now it’s forgotten. It was soo nice. Put my book down turned off the lights and I was awake 7 hours later! I wish every night could be like that! I’m so jealous of those who decided to sleep, and boom, they’re out.

I'm glad that you slept well! But sorry your dream recall evaded you. If possible, write down a phrase ASAP that summarizes the gist of each dream, for example, "Peeing in drawer of boss' desk." Then, when you're fully awake that phrase should bring about memories of the dream, although the events might come to sort of you in reverse order.

I can't imagine what that must be like. I am glad that you were able to get a good night's sleep, though

@SquarePegGuy I have finally downloaded SleepyHead for Mac from the link you provided back then. My MacOS refused to open it because it said that it could not verify the developer and confirm that the software was malware-free. I am using my work computer as I do not have a separate computer for leisure. I will ask our IT support to take a look on Monday and let me know whether this rejection came from them or from the OS itself. I am not clear but then I am not a techie person. I would like to start learning about my sleep day by day!

I have had a good day and am going to bed now at 11:00 PM. I got up at 8:30 AM in the morning and was fine later without a nap.

I wasn’t sure I’d get much sleep last night as I had a lavender coffee from Starbucks. But I slept fine and had an intense dream. My daughter and I were getting tattoos. There was an open place kind of like a fish shack. The lady that did the tattoos knew my daughter and her tattoo was almost finished. Just needed the color added. I was getting a tattoo on my arm and she attached a skine of embroidery thread to my arm and drew a mermaid on it. Then suddenly there was a ton of people there who’d missed their morning appointments. Then the wacky lady was saying who next? I raised my hand and realized my daughter, her husband and my granddaughter who was only 1 were gone. Then the wacky lady took me in a car to the mall where she did the actual tattoos. Part of my embroidery thread came off with the needle and she was cool. No problem.

I woke up at 9:30 am kind of confused.

I wonder if it will support your BiPAP device anyway. Support for Sleepyhead stopped many years ago. I suspect that the author was threatened with lawsuits from the CPAP makers who wanted to sell their own software and services to patients. I only started to think about that because I'll be replacing my machine soon. I'll visit the developers website / repository page

I will ask my sleep psychologist which jailbreaking software she and her spouse use with their CPAP machines. She mentioned a name but I forgot.

It never occurred to me to do a search until now....
OSCAR -- Open Source CPAP Analysis Reporter: OSCAR - Open Source CPAP Analysis Reporter

This appears to be the successor to Sleepyhead.

New screenshot is attached. Seems like I'm doing the same as always.

Tomorrow I go back to work after a week off. If I go to bed in two hours, I'll be able to get 10 hours of sleep! I think I'll aim for 8 and 1/2 hours, meaning a bed time of 9:30pm.

thinking about @Nammu's lavender coffee.... It sounds like the lavender might temper the stimulating effect of caffeine. I have some bottles of coffee stout. It has a whopping 10% alcohol, so I'm not too concerned about how much caffeine might be in it, but I do wonder.

That lavender coffee sounds amazing, but I tend to stay away from coffee because it puts me right to sleep. You heard me right, less than 10 minutes after drinking a cup of coffee I am literally nodding off. I just stay away.

I have been sleeping about 7 hours every night more or less. But I wake up SO TIRED! I couldn't get myself out of bed to go to church this morning even after sleeping for 7 hours. The mask also is still slipping off of my face again, ugh.

My husband is still missing. This is the longest binge so far, and I am really worried. It's so sad, and I shouldn't care because he insists on doing this to himself, but I am not heartless and it's affecting me a lot. Its so hard to sit back and watch someone destroy themselves. I am happy I am able to sleep though through all of this.

Glad you guys are doing well though, sleeping on time and everything. I have been trying to get into bed between 11pm and 7am consistently. It's been working.

Can someone tell me more about this SleepyHead app you guys are talking about? Is it different from the MyAir one? What does it do?

Going to bed at exactly 11pm tonight.

You wrote "I shouldn't care" but you're feeling your feelings and they don't follow rules. And if you didn't care, you'd be such a different person.

My machine stopped communicating with the cell service many months ago. But even then, I prefered the Sleepyhead reports over the MyAir reports. The sleepyhead reports are much more detailed. The latest attachment I uploaded is just a summary. I'll upload one of the Daily Reports when I get a chance.

Hmmm I never thought of the lavender negating the caffeine. I wonder?

This sleepyhead apt you are talking about reminds me of this pain apt there used to be. It was about 20 yrs ago now. It was excellent and full of good solid scientific info and had an excellent self monitoring chart you could down load to help you with doctor visits on pain and symptoms. But the anti opioid cops went after it and it closed. My pain doctor loved the charts and found them so good. Sounds like sleepyhead suffers the same fate but at the hands of private companies. That’s too bad.

Shadow, you loved the guy. Just because common sense tells you to distance yourself from his self destructive ways doesn’t mean your feels can be turned off. My ex was a violent person, put me in the hospital and I left him. But I still had feelings for him. I was feeling the feelings and acknowledging that they existed but stayed away from him. To paraphrase swift. Feelings gonna feel.
