So the Snore Lab app is likely not for me as I listen to audio books when I fall asleep. It is probably hard for the app to discern what is snoring and what is audio. I will use it for a couple more days of the free trial but then likely cancel the subscription.

I wonder if the semi-oval weight was an ink blotter. They were common back then. When I was a teenager (in the late '70s) I imagined myself living a century earlier, and I wrote with pen and ink, and (you guessed it) I had an actual ink blotter! This was probably some manifestation of undiagnosed autism. When it comes to paper, I take after your grandma. I use an archaeological approach to filing, relating a paper's position in the pile with its age. I'd rather not have any papers, which is part of the reason I'd prefer a life without doctor's and health insurance (as I wrote elsewhere). But I struggle if cabinets, closets and tools are out of place. Apologies to whomever started this thread for hijacking it with my rambling... __________________ Major Depressive Disorder; Sleep Apnea; possibly on the spectrum Nuvigil 50mg; Effexor 37.5mg Wellbutrin 150mg; meds for blood pressure & cholesterol |

An ink blotter! Yes, yes, that likely was it!
It did not occur to me until you suggested it. Apart from one attempt to learn to write in ink in elementary school, I have not encountered ink in decades. Thank you for reading, my dear friend SPG! __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Gabapentin 1200 mg+Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications, some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity BMI ~ 38 |

To remind you, I listen to audio when falling asleep. Sometimes, it continues playing and sometimes, it does not. I am pretty sure that audio interferes with snoring recording by the app and it is likely that the app cannot properly discern snoring in the presence of audio interference. So, I think that the app overreports snoring by sometimes mistaking audio (books, podcasts) for snoring. With that in mind, I think the reported data shows pretty mild snoring and not a huge concern. I am inclined to stop the free trial and not pay for the app.

1. Doesn't your Sleep Apnea report include snoring?
2. Why do you want to know about snoring? Sorry if you explained that already. __________________ Major Depressive Disorder; Sleep Apnea; possibly on the spectrum Nuvigil 50mg; Effexor 37.5mg Wellbutrin 150mg; meds for blood pressure & cholesterol |

My Sleep apnea report outputs events (apneas) and leaks but not snoring.
I have sent the above report to the CBT-I psychologist and she agreed that snoring is not a big concern for now.
