I just got back from visiting my parent's house. I scheduled an appointment with my therapist today in hopes of minimizing the suicidal thoughts and perhaps work through the feelings that create those thoughts. Funny thing is night before last I cut my hand doing dishes at my parents house. We had to run to the emergency room and I ended up getting 7 stitches. So when I went into my appointment today with my hand all wrapped up in gauze Dan says "Well where should we start, with your hand?" He had to appologize to me because he admitted that he assumed that it was self inflicted. Ha ha.

Hi ((((Carrie}}}}: Were you able to talk over and sort out why you are feeling suicidal, and, perhaps, a game plan to combat those feelings with? Wishing you a better tomorrow... Peanut

It was actually a productive session. I had spent the drive home from my parents with my husband discussing the feelings I had during my visit with them. This kept the feelings and ideas on the surface so I didn't bury them deep like I usually do. Plus there was the fact that I decided that I was going to pay close attention to my interactions with my parents and the feelings they brought up so I was more aware of where the feelings came from. This all led to being able to call up the feelings and associate them to where they orginated from during my session with Dan instead of having to dig way down in the dark hole I usually put those things which of course is majorly exhausting as well as disturbing. So yeah, it was a good session and I accomplished a lot over the last few days. And my hand seems to be healing nicely.
