I don't know why I do this, but sometimes I find myself intentionally doing triggering things, even when I'm not in a particularly self-injurious mood. I'll look at SI pictures and stuff like that just cause. I know the obvious answer is just don't look at them, but it's not that simple...it's like a strong urge pulling me towards the triggering things...does this happen to anyone else?

I do similar things sometimes. For me it happens when I feel bad somewhere deep inside, but I don't allow myself to actually feel it and try to distract myself and stuff, because I'm afraid I will end up SI'ing. Well, I end up SI'ing anyway...

I do the same sorts of things, and I'm not sure why, either. I try to resist the "urge" to look at pictures/think about things that trigger me because I know where it leads...but it is hard sometimes.
I hadn't thought about this before really. I think I'll bring it up to my T next time. Maybe you could too? |
