If you are an adult the only time a therapist would report you for anything is when you are in emminent danger of hurting yourself (suicide) or someone else. I have been a cutter for 10 years, since I was 13, and I have never had a therapist tell anyone about it. They do ask me to show them my wrists each week to help keep me safe and accountable.
