so, last night i got into an argument with my mom. i was scared and felt alone. i have been cutting myself for about 3 weeks now and i have kept it a secret from all but one person for a while. as i was hysterically crying into her arms, i expressed how i had something to tell her- i just couldnt say anything. after she promised to not take me to the hospital, i nodded my head after she asked if i cut my wrists. it was honestly one of the scariest moments of my life. but, being able to tell her not only let off a huge weight from my shoulder, but it made me feel better. i now know i have the support of my mom and it just makes me feel so much better. not gonna lie- pc wasn't the place that gave me the courage to do it. it came from me and my friend who knew and everything else. but it just helps being able to write about what happened with no judgment being passed.

It takes so much courage to tell your parents what is going on. It doesn't matter where you got the courage from. I'm glad you have a friend who was able to help you through this. I'm happy for you that your mom was supportive and you were able to tell her. Good work.

Great you were able to tell your mum and that you have her support.

Is therapy an option?
