I cut a few days ago on my stomach. Deep enough that the skin separated and wouldn't go back together.

I put neosporin on it yesterday, today I have gooey yellow stuff coming out of the wound.

Does this sound like an infection and if so, what would I do to make the infection go away?

Do you have a fever? Could you get this checked by a doctor? I use alcohol or 10% peroxide on minor cuts but I don't know how deep yours is. Sounds like you need stitches I think. I hope it gets better and don't wait long if it doesn't look better.

Gooey yellow stuff sounds like it could be an infection - do keep an eye on it and please don't rule out medical attention. Take care - SD

Use saline and see a doctor if there is redness, itching, oozing after a few days.

Mine was the same....i just left it for a few days and it started to heal its self.
If you wanted ta just wash it and put some bandage on it so dirt wont go in.
I wouldn't worry...if it dose get worse seek medical advice

It seems to be better now. It scabbed over, still kind of red, but not any more than any other cuts i've made
Thanks for this!
