Sounds like a great plan!
 I decided something similar, to stop SI on 1-1-2011. I've stopped over 3 months so far Giving yourself goals like the tattoo is great, I found that I can't stop SI just for myself, I have to have other motives. Anyway, good luck and PM me anytime if you just want to talk to someone who's trying to stop too.

well i got the 1st part of the tattoo today! i got the nautical star, black and orange. in another 6 months i will get the word "survivor" written next to it, along with 3 small bird silhouettes flying away from it, symbolizing my freedom from si that it does not have such a tight control over me as it had in the past.
It is still very sore (hurt like heck to get it over my scars!) and really swollen but here it is!
