literally, for the past month and a half, i've cut a lot every day.

it's gotten to the point when i've cut four maybe five times yesterday. it's ruining my life. my legs are so swollen that it's rubbing on my jeans and the scabs crack and the blood runs through my pants. i don't even remember what it is like to go a day without cutting. i left in the middle of my economics class two days ago to go to the restroom to cut. i have no control anymore.
i'm gonna try to go one day at a time without cutting. does some one want to join me?

I'm sorry to hear you're going through such a rough time, but it's great that you're trying to not cut. That's a huge step. I'm sorry if you've been asked this already, but are you getting professional help for your concerns regarding self-harm?

Yeah, do you have a therapist?

Wow....pretty much every word you typed sounds EXACTLY like the situation I was in about a year ago. For most of last year it was at the point where I couldn't go a day without it (I thought so anyway). And yes, at one point I started skipping classes to go find somewhere to hide and cut instead. Obviously that led to me totally ruining a semester. I was also overdosing on pills (sometimes every night), because the resulting hallucinations and other effects distracted me from reality.

It got to the point where it really scared me...it seems like maybe you're at that same point. I didn't care if I died, which was starting to become a very real possibility with the rate of how fast things were getting worse. One day I realized I had to stop, and I did.

As you can see from my signature, I've stopped for awhile. I still have to take it one day at a time, but it has gotten easier for the most part. So yes, I will join you in going one day at a time without cutting.

Good luck, and PM me anytime if you want to. I really hope you can get through the hell of feeling like you have to cut every day.

Is getting a therapist a possibility?

A therapist would be a good idea because if you had one. You have someone who you can talk to.
