Hi all!, My name is SammySue I am new to this forum i've been struggling with cutting for 9yrs.I am a student in school and I am trying to find my way to a better, brighter, happier life. Usually I hide and lie about the fact that I cut ,but I'm guessing maybe its time I'm honest with everyone in my life.Cause I think as long as I lie and hide everything from my loved ones aka parents they can't help me? For those of you who are honest about the self harm with the people in your life, does it make everything easier or is lying sometimes better? For me I know I need help to get better but I fear the unknown.

Secrets are a burden. I suggest sharing with your parents. Keep us posted?

Nothing about cutting is easy... nothing about telling people is easy. I have told my treatment team, but that's about it, the sooner you get to the reason behind it, it could make it easier. Most importantly , just take things a day at a time. and post on PC as often as you need to.

Good luck.
