In the past, I used to sorta cut up my feet, so no one would be able to see, and I've been thinking about it a lot as of late. I considered it a major flub if I accidentally drew blood. I'd dig up the soles of both my feet. The dumb question... is that considered self-injury, since it was intentional, even though I didn't bleed?

I'd say it was self-injury if it was intentional, but it really all depends on what you define SIas?

I would say that any intentional harm to the body would be considered self-injury.

I agree. Why do you do it, goofygirl? To feel better? To feel the pain? Alot of things go into making self injury what it is, besides the obvious.

I think if you did it intentionally you were self injuring for reasons SI happens: coping. If you found yourself doing it but not meaning to.. then it was still a response to something in your life, but might have been anxiety causing it....

Oh man, I didn't think anyone else did that. Sometimes it gets so bad that I can hardly walk later. I find mine is more compulsive, like I can not stop. Sometimes I am telling myself the whole time how stupid it is, and how I need to stop at a certain time (yeah, right). Hope your doing all right now....stay cool!
