You can't be the rock for all of these people, especially when they need to be your rock since you are the child. We do need to draw boundaries to protect ourselves sometimes. These people need to lean on the correct people, not 16 yr olds!
Good work getting yourself somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Brennan.
If you are feeling the need to be the rock for - family - friends - b/f . To be an emotional rock is a good thing (in my opinion). It can and does take a lot of energy though. Who do you turn to. You are young, I can understand being strong when young (I did it myself). You need though to live you're youth. Try to focus on you're own happiness and how it will build strength within you. I /WE/ All @ Psych Central will be here for you. If you need to talk, we are here for you. (I have had triggers this year to self harm, but.........its being a member of Psych Central that saved me. I have not cut since April. I got a laptop and found PC in one week in April 2011). Thank you PC. Brennan, we will be you're rock. |
