I only started to SI about 2 months ago, at first it was very little, and very minor, every time its a little worse, I don't do it alot, but its getting more frequent, I know I shouldn't but it just helps alot sometimes, how do i stop this before it escalates?

Throw things out that you use, and don't allow yourself to get new tools for SI. It is possible, just take it one step at a time. Distractions can help, if they are positive.

Also, keep in mind the facts. If someone finds out what you are doing, how will you feel? Would you want someone to see what your doing, or catch you doing it? Sometimes others can be the best thing to keep it from escalating.

Do you have a therapist and are you working on the issues that are causing the urges?
