it's Sam again. sofragile88's question made me think of a similar one. i am in the 8th grade and so far the people that have seen the extent of my cuts are: my former science teacher and soccer coach, my former math teacher who also coached girls soccer, my current math teacher, my language arts teacher, my art teacher, my current science teacher, my WA state history teacher, my grade level counselor, pretty sure all the kids in my homeroom and other classes, the schools girls soccer team, my friends mom, my friends, and my therapist and doctor at school. i have also had some of my current teachers talk to me about my mental status and my cuts. my L.A. teacher had a chat with my therapist because he was concerned about me 'cause of my papers in class and me crying a lot in class. the thing that i did in soccer was in order to make myself run faster, i would scratch my recent cuts which would cause pain and blood that would make me go faster. one day i was felling ill so i scratched and my arm began to bleed. the other girls were concerned and being loud about it, itried to blow it off un til i realized that it was bleeding too much to minimize it. then my coach asked me what happened, i told him that i did it. then he told me to go get washed up because there was on my shirt arm and hands.

then my other coach took me for a walk and we talked. that was good.

sorry that i'm rambaling, i need to get this off my chest.

who all has seen your scars or cuts, becides a t. or doc?

Coming to think about it, no one. My parents know and i go to a therapist for it, but i am going to stop that as the person i see is a snob and blames everything on my parents and everyone else and not my mental status, so i am going it alone

People know i self harm but i refuse to show them as i am ashamed. The doctor who treated me in A&E, saw them and my friend who was with me (BIG MISTAKE TAKING HER AS I AM ASHAMED TO LET HER SEE IT). So yeah, no one!

My sister has seen the older ones because me being careless about covering them up.

My old cosmetology teacher about a year ago & another student in my class who SI'ed too.

My friend at my current school who also SI.

I think that's about it...I try to keep me covered as much as possible.

as long as there are no fresh cuts I walk around with nothing covering my arm at home, at the beach and sometimes around the city so lots of people see mine. as for when there are fresh ones usually only the people who have to stitch/steri strip/bandage them so medical professionals and my cousins partner found me on day and had to deal with my arm cuz I was passing out.

I'm not sure who's seen mine. They are noticable on my wrists and arms. I never try to hide them and no one has ever asked about them.

A good friend saw them when I was in eighth grade but she didn't know that I was cutting myself.

My sister recently saw them but I don't know if she knows I'm cutting or not.

The only person who knows is my best friend, but she's never seen my scars.

Two friends know, my gym teachers know, school councellor knows, my form teacher knows, English teacher, french teacher, basically school, everyone in pe, and god knows who else knows, my mum also knows. I never got taken to a psychologist/psychiatrist or a therapist even though i begged for two years. Now everyone forgets and thinks I am fine. Which Im not. (

Nobody. Because I just started cutting recently and so far have really only cut my left hand fingers (it's easy to hide). And I am terrified of people finding out about it, besides my best friends, who will almost certainly know soon. But I have a problem: I have pretty much run out of room on my fingers, I can't cut the rips of them because I care too much about playing guitar, can't cut my right hand because I'm left handed, and I cut my wrist the other day but I was too scared to really cut it, it didn't bleed and barely broke the skin. Just enough so that I still have 3 little red lines where I cut them.

Right now I think only my husband knows. I had one friends in college and I also told my ex (who I have not talked to in 6 years). I try to only cut where no one can see like the inside of my ankles (that can be either covered by socks or jeans) or on the bottom part of my chest where the bra covers. I play volleyball (setter) with my dad so it is the only real place I can do out with out detection. Nothing is worse than worrying about my garter toss at our wedding because of the scares. Also I use hitting because it doesn't stay around. But it does cause just as much damage a cutting in the long run.

My parents (can't avoid that), my therapist, my former therapist, an English teacher.....these I know for sure. I'm guessing my art teacher, aunt, and friends and cousin have as well, but they've never said anything.

Only one of my friends knows about it and has seen it but she moved out of the country months ago, so literally no one knows and no one has seen it. If my parents found out, I'd probably kill myself (figuratively).
