hey guys I'm really new here, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with my cutting addiction... it would really mean a lot if someone could talk with me maybe

Cutting is just another way to cover up difficult feelings. I used alcohol and drugs but I would do other things to hurt myself. May I ask, do you drink or use drugs?

You know there are no real programs for SI addiction like there are for most addictions. Gambling, sex, drugs ect... they all have programs and groups for support but I have never seen one for SI addiction.

And if you need someone to talk to who has an SI addiction and has had some moderate success dealing with it you can always PM me.

Self-injury and every single other human symptom is all covered when going through the process of recovery in the Big Book of AA. Self-injury is a way to get relief from resentment, fears, and personal relationship problems. It's a way to punish the people we're mad at - and ourselves.

Everything has to be worked out eventually, and the Solution covers everything.

Non-alcoholics are doing that work now too.
