If you have a crisis hotline in your area, give them a call.

If you are trying to commit suicide or do major damage to yourself, then yes, you should go inpatient. Are your cuts deep or in places that have the potential to cause great harm? If you are not trying to commit suicide or you are doing mild damage to yourself, you might want to get a counselor if you do not already have one. The counselor can help you to try to fix the root of your problem that is causing you to self-harm. When you feel like harming yourself, do you have a friend you could call? Talking to a friend could help you to feel better.

ok, I am glad you feel better. Whenever you want to self-harm, try calling your friend first. I bet it will help decrease the self-harming.

We can't tell you if you are so much a danger to yourself that you need to go inpatient. Since you are in the US though, I can tell you that a lot of places will only admit you if you are actively suicidal or homicidal.
It does sound like you definitely need some sort of support, be that through therapy or some other method, it would be a good idea

Can you try to call your friend instead of burning yourself? It might help you out.....
Thanks for this!
