Write down all the pro's and con's of what would happen before, during and after (even in the long run, like scarring etc) self-harming. I bet you're less likely to do it then, seeing it all on paper.

This is something my therapist taught me. Seeing something on paper, is very strong.

You can even write it here in this thread, or make your own thread. Entirely up to you. Try not to shrug this off and think "Oh it'll never work for me!" Just give it at least a few go's the next few times you have the urge to self-harm.
