Everybody slips up; it's about finding the strength in yourself to get back up, learn from it, and recognize the signs to prevent it from happening again. Do you have a therapist or someone to talk to as soon as you have intense urges?

Oh, that's tough. If you can find a school counselor or someone who is non-biased, non-judgmental, and will listen to you without getting upset at you, I would definitely try to seek someone out. SI is so hard to beat on your own (trust me, I speak from experience), and I think it would really benefit you to have someone that you could work through your urges and could help to diffuse the overwhelming need to get your release from cutting.

Don't give up. I am sure that your close friend cares and doesn't want to see you suffering, but I know it is a tough struggle. Please let me know how you are doing and update me, okay?

I could go to the counselor... but my mom would have to know and I'm sick of her pitying me because I cut and if she knew I started again I'd never be able to wear long sleeves without her asking if I cut... it's just annoying...
thanks

But it is the only way to truly get better. There is no perfect path.

That's not unexpected. But I think you'll look back on this and be glad you did.

Don't kick yourself so hard for slipping. It is to be expected in trying to quit. It's a bump in the road, not the end. Stay strong, and the best of luck to you.

my appt is tomorrow... and idk what to say! I don't want her to tell my mother anything, and she will if she thinks I'm a danger to myself... which I clearly am 'cause I'd rather kill myself than go tomorrow..

Well that's great!

How're you feeling in the wake of everything? Hopefully wasn't as bad as you thought, was it?
