Hi there,

Welcome to PC! I hope that you can find some support here.

Basically, all you need to do is have a look around and start posting when and where you feel comfortable doing so. Let people get to know you and get to know them Ask any questions that you have.

There are some amazing people here who I am sure will do all they can to help

Welcome again.

Hi NSH, welcome to PC. Can you get a therapist to help you with the SI?

Welcome to PC, NSH!

Start looking at helpful threads that give alternatives to Self-Injury. I would also recommend breathing and mindfulness exercises as they generally help to reduce stress. A lot of people here on PC are more than happy to help out or talk. I'm not on much myself, but I saw this post and couldn't help but to reply.

Keep fighting, that's an important thing to remember and an important place to start. You have to decide for yourself that you want to stop, and then try to do what you can to fight.

Having a therapist to work along-side you is an excellent idea (I'm calling to try to find one tomorrow!), but there are many resources available that might be able to help you along the way.

Looking up things like the Butterfly Project, or things to do instead of SI are good places to start too. There are tips out there to help you fight urges, and positive quotes all about the place to help you find the courage you need to keep fighting.

Go ahead and reach out to places you think are safe, talk about what's bothering you. This was a great step asking the people of PC to help!

I have faith in you, keep your chin up! I hope that you find the support you're looking for on PC.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
