It's time for me to fully admit that I am addicted to my SI method.

Talking with my T and he would like me to come up with some coping skill that is portable, and helps to be in the physical world, and out of my head. So far I've come up with things that are harder to take with me. IE Juggling balls, Computer games (I don't have a smart phone yet), Playing music (only works part of the time). And that's all. oh and sports (but you can't carry that in your pocket)

I"m ready to admit that I have a problem, but not quite ready to figure out what to do when the urges come. And now it's off to class.

good luck. What else normally helps ground you? I have been carrying a "tangle" toy lately, it fits in my pocket relatively well, and it works to at least keep my hands busy. I'll keep up with this post, because I need some more options myself...

what has helped me when i get anxious/nervous is to twist and play with a hair/normal rubber band, but for me i cut when i'm alone and usually at night.... so that hopefully will help... at least a little.

One other idea I had was a stress ball, or a ball on a string but not small enough. But it helps for a bit. also with all of this going on focusing on my studies is not really happening.
