well no matter how much or often, si is an issue and a cause for concern. but i think that if thoughts and actions of/about it are getting in the way of normal life then it is going too far... no matter the actual severity of the si.
and about getting addicted to it again.... i think i am or almost there ![]() ((hugs.... A LOT of them)) --Sam |

In all likelihood, you are already addicted to SI. When you find something that eases your pain, even a little, the chances of not doing it are close to nil.
Any SI is serious. It doesn't matter if it is skin, muscle or deeper. SI is not an illness. It is a symptom of an illness. Over time, it will take more frequent and deeper cuts to achieve the same emotional relief. The road you are on is dangerous and can easily turn into something fatal. Things like scars are just asthetic. The real danger is in bleeding to death or disabling yourself for the rest of your life. There are some things that Dr.s just can't fix. Tendons don't heal as well as skin or muscle, and could easily leave you with partial use of one side or another. The same goes for your legs. You are much too young to ruin your life. You have potential to do what ever you want with your life, but if you continue down the SI road, some of those choices may disappear. Sam2 |
