Hi all,
I've been self-injuring for over 4 years, and have never really had a problem with the scars on my forearms. Lately, though, they have been bothering me a lot. I've lost around 40lbs in the past six months and plan to lose around 30 more. When I reach my goal, I plan on getting a tattoo on my inner bicep, as well as one on my upper forearm on the opposite arm. I lift weights to prepare my arms to show off once I get my ink, but I feel like the scars are standing in my way. I know I should view them as an expression of how far I've come and all that, but really, I just don't want them to be visible anymore. So I'm wondering, is there any proven way to reduce or even completely erase their appearance? I say proven because I've tried using Bio-Oil in the past and it didn't work. Would a surgical option be the way to go? Any advice is appreciated.

There are some lotions on the market that claim to reduce the appearance of scars. I don't know if they work or not.
IF you are planning on getting tatoos, you might be able to find a good artist who can incorporate your scars into the tatoos, making them virtually invisible. By the way, there is nothing wrong with your interests. There are job fields that take all of them into account. Its not the interest and knowledge that is good or bad, just the way you decide to use them. Sam2 |

Maderma (spelled it wrong?) works. I've used is ever since I started cutting. And I only have one scar that is BARELY visible. It's a miracle lotion haha
Good luck. |

I think hiruscar works for everything, even keloids and depressed scars. Go and give it a try.
