This is the third attempt at being a music major/minor... both times before resulted in suspension. seeing flashbacks to that time and having urges just to get away... I should be studying but instead I'm just stuck wanting pain... at least that would be easier than trying to get through the day.... what more can I do...

puzzclar, from your post it sounds like you have not self-injured yet. Having the impulses and not acting on them is a sign of strength and hope. When I am struggling I take time out to journal and then get back to my work.......hang in there you can make it.........D.
