I sometimes feel s if cutting is my only release. it is my only option and I don't know how to make those feelings go away.
I had stopped for about two months this year. In October and November I decided that I had to stop because eventually it would lead to something worse.
The beginning of December I started again. My thoughts and feelings were to strong and I couldn't cope without doing it again. please, I just need these feelings to go away.
If anyone has any ideas at all please tell me.

Are you seeing a therapist? They can sometimes help you with other coping mechanisms. Self-injury is generally just that - a coping mechanism. To stop you generally need to build up other ways to manage the stress and find release.

If you haven't already I would suggest you have a look through the thread Things to do instead of hurting yourself which is stuck at the top of the SI forum. It has a lot of tips and tricks that have helped others when trying to overcome SI.

Something that helps me is to "ride the wave" and let myself feel the feelings, cry even, and get the emotion out. Then I feel a lot better and the urge to si is greatly reduced. Another thing that might help is to do something with your hands like knitting or playing with a rubber band to get some of your energy out. I like to twist a hair bad around my fingers until it hurts a little, and keep doing it. This helps me to feel some pain and do something with my hands that isn't inherently harmful.

I also think it is important to feel what you need to feel without sensoring yourself. Try letting yourself get the emotion out and see it you still have the urge to SI. With me I tend to want to SI when I don't want to deal with and feel the tough feelings. When I let myself feel them, I feel better and less likely to SI.

Please feel free to PM me if you want to talk or anything.
Thanks for this!
