...why I don't want to pull my hair? I'm starting to forget - I miss it. Can someone please remind me... And I've started pretty much doing everything short of actually pulling the hairs out (finding in them in my head, and running them through my fingers), which is how I've slipped up every time I've tried to quit...I hate that I'm doing this again, it's so frustrating! Can someone please remind me...

Because pulling your hair out doesn't deal with the feelings that are making you feel bad. It's just temporary relief, and later on you will feel worse.

Can someone please remind me... Can someone please remind me... Can someone please remind me... Can someone please remind me... Can someone please remind me...

I guess coming so close but not actually doing it counts for something, right? It doesn't feel like it, though. What I'm doing is like the cutting equivalent of running a blade across my skin but promising myself not to draw blood...better than nothing, but only just. And it won't last long. I know I'm going to slip up eventually - I always do. Can someone please remind me...

(Not sure if this is triggering, but thought I'd put the icon on just in case.)

(((((((Rio)))))))))

Not self-injuring is good. You may be cutting it close, but if it helps you even for a moment then I think it's okay (enough).

Take care of yourself - believe that you WON'T slip up - a bit of that type of thinking can go a long way.

(((((Canders))))) Thanks. It certainly does help...and a couple of times when I started and then forced myself to stop I ended up feeling like I wanted to hit or scratch myself instead, so I guess this is better than that. Can someone please remind me... It's hard to believe I won't slip up considering that I have every time before, but I guess it's worth a try!

Thanks again. Can someone please remind me...

(((((((deepblue)))))))) Thanks. I failed again today, though. Can someone please remind me... It was just one hair, and so far I've managed to stop myself pulling any more out...but I've kept coming close. But I'll try again - I really want to quit this!

it is ok to fail ,the pressure can overcome you but at least you are still trying to quit, and you will in your own time just remember when the day comes that you do quit you will remember how strong you really are within!

don't stop trying to quit, as 1 day you will
