I feel like I can't ask for help because there's nothing physically, viewably wrong with me. I'm so messed up in the head, I don't know what to do or where to go and I feel like I can't say hey mom I need to go to the ER because we don't have the obey to pay for things like that and there's nothing physically wrong. I should be able to suck it up and deal with it, I don't know why I'm like this. I started doing this because I needed something to be wrong, something that they can see and know how bad I need help. It's all just building and building and I don't have the courage to really cause any harm. I'm so afraid of pain, but i'm in so much pain. It's just all in my head, it's not real, none of it is real, there's nothing wrong, I'm just weak and lazy and I can't deal with my life anymore

Give yourself some credit. You are struggling. Don't underestimate what you are dealing with and how you're feeling. I think others can speak to this as well, but I know that no one ever noticed when I was hurting myself. No one knew unless I told them. I cut for almost 4 years before my parents found out and even then, they only knew after reading my text messages. I pretended to get better so they would stop acting so odd around me and treating me poorly. And even after that, I continued to cut for another 6 years and they still don't know.
You need to open up to someone you trust. Let someone help you. If you don't think you can do it on your own, please let someone help you.

Mental illness is very real, just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there.and it doesn't mean you are weak or lazy either. It is so hard to live with this daily and actually takes a lot of strength to keep on going. Can you at least talk to your mum about what's going on. Let her know how much you are struggling. Are you still at school? Perhaps a school counsellor can help

There is nothing wrong with you! You are coping with emotional pain the best way you now how. The human brain is an amazing thing. If you can't find the source of your feelings, it's probably because your brain thinks it's too dangerous for you to know. Hang in there and try to be patient with yourself. You're not "weak" or "lazy". You're strong. Try to feel that strength and know that, as the saying goes, this too shall pass.

I fully get what you are saying........

You have an illness that most people do not understand. They can not see it and few people can really "cure" it. It effects every part of your life. And if left untreated can (and does) kill.

How is this any different than cancer?

Seriously. You have a disease. You did not choose to have it. I hope you get whatever help you can.

It costs a lot of money, and I'm barely paying for food and gas right now.
